A cottage between Bankes Arms and and a hotel and restaurant called The Pig

The Old Harry Rocks on the right and the the Isle of Wight beyond

The bay is a favourite spot for pleasure boats visiting South Beach

The cruise liner in the distance is anchored for the duration of the pandemic

South Beach is secluded on both sides by such greenery

Walking down to Middle Beach café

The view toward Old Harry from the Middle Beach café terrace

The Middle Beach café open for business with lockdown restrictions

From the café terrace one can walk down to the beach

The terrace is crowded in high summer and delightful in spring or autumn

Walking northward now along the South West Coast Path

The South West Coast Path passes an entire village of beach huts

The headland on the right separates Middle Beach from South Beach

Looking out from the South West Coast Path toward Poole and Bournemouth

A pair of lovers on the path below a row of dragon's teeth intended to stop tanks

The sea stretching toward the Solent showing another cruise ship at anchor

The cliff here above the coastal path looks tempting

The view from the top of the cliff toward Old Harry Rocks

The view over the coastal path looking northeast toward Christchurch and the Solent

The parched grass beside the topmost dragon's tooth is the eastern edge of a cricket pitch

Looking down on the beach huts beside the coastal path

Looking out once more to the Old Harry Rocks
